Ballroom Counting Sep '61: This shows the proceeds of the 1961 carnival collecting tins being counted in the hostel ballroom. Proceeds were £280.00. Roy snook, Brian Holdstock, 'Booze' Green, 'Spag', Norman Sheen, Sid Marsh, John Ashley, Bill Finch and a number of other guys from 55/56 intake
Barbecue mid 50's: I joined in 57 and I would have known if that much meat was on offer in my time. The chefs look familiar - I think they are the Poles who worked at the hostel.
