From papers of my late father Ken Webb (lecturer).
The Queen's visit to North Site in 1957.
I don't know whether she visited the college.
As I vaguely recall, viewing stands were erected opposite the main entrance to the college.
I think Radar Research Establishment (RRE) become Royal Radar Establishment (RRE) on the day of her visit, or at least very soon afterwards.
I saw her travelling from South Site to North Site.
Ckick for the invitation or was it an order?
