SHOES! + XMAS 1955

Pete Small doing penance after the shoe cleaning scam. He offered an overnight shoe cleaning service whereupon he hid the lot up on the hills. As most apprentices only afforded one pair of shoes, this caused many problems and he was duly punished for his misdeeds.

The magnificent collection of booze for which we'd saved every week from our meagre pittance of Ł3 12s 6d for Xmas 1955. We were all as sick as dogs and serve us right!
